ADPM Drones to Support an Innovative Biodiversity Monitoring Project in the Sirente Velino Park

Advanced drone and IoT technology for environmental protection: a new model of sustainability for monitoring wildlife and natural areas.

Rome, Italy – ADPM Drones is pleased to announce its role as a technology provider in a pioneering project dedicated to biodiversity monitoring in the Sirente Velino Regional Natural Park, in collaboration with the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC). This project, part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and funded by the European Union, aims to introduce and develop new methodologies for environmental preservation through the use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS).

The project includes the development of an advanced management platform for remote drone control, integrated with other IoT technologies capable of acquiring highly precise georeferenced data. This system will allow for efficient and sustainable data collection to monitor the natural habitat and local species, including key conservation priorities such as the Apennine chamois and deer.

Advanced Platforms and Technology for Sustainable Monitoring

Among the innovative solutions provided, ADPM Drones’ software platform features an interactive dashboard with advanced functions for real-time data analysis and monitoring. Additionally, with M2M technology, drones will be able to communicate in real-time with other IoT devices in the area, such as weather stations and GPS sensors, providing a comprehensive and integrated view of the Park.

The AVIORYM smart automatic charging station will ensure operational continuity, while the optimized monitoring protocols will minimize environmental impact, making the approach replicable in other protected areas.

Training and Sustainability for a Long-Term Project

ADPM Drones will also provide training for the Sirente Velino Park personnel, ensuring an autonomous and skilled management of these new technologies. Through on-the-job training sessions, operators will be able to interpret collected data and manage flight missions independently, thereby enhancing monitoring efficiency and project sustainability.

A Contribution to Biodiversity and Research

The project is designed to be a replicable model for other protected areas, aiming to become a reference point for biodiversity conservation and sustainable environmental management. ADPM Drones is proud to support the Sirente Velino Park in this initiative and contribute to the development of innovative technologies for the benefit of the environment and biodiversity.
