The D-COM-BOX device integrates onboard of UAV both terrestrial and satellite telecommunication channels and therefore provides a key feature which represents the necessary condition to enable a wide range of safe BVLOS services for UAS.
Satellite communication is implemented using an Iridium transceiver, capable to transmit short data messages with a maximum data rate of 2,4kbps (Iridium SBD service) and guaranteeing a global coverage.
D-COM-BOX device allows integration with the onboard Flight Computer to provide command & control BRLOS communications, integration with other value-added applications.
